Registry2 Object

The Registry2 object exposes the Microsoft® Windows NT® 4.0, Microsoft® Windows 2000® or Microsoft Windows® 95 registry settings that maintain an instance of Microsoft SQL Server™ and run-time parameters. The Registry2 object extends the functionality of the Registry object.

The Registry2 object extends the functionality of the Registry object for use with features that are new in SQL Server 2000. It also inherits the properties and methods of the Registry object. With the Registry2 object, you can:

The methods and properties of the Registry2 object may not be compatible with instances of SQL Server version 7.0 or earlier.
