Enable SQL for an English Query model by:
Use the New Project command on the File menu to access the SQL Project Wizard. When using the SQL Project Wizard, the project is enabled for SQL only. Initially, when selecting the OLE DB provider, you must select the data source or server, and then enter the logon information. After logging on, select a database, and then specify the entities and relationships from the tables that you want in the project. The project is automatically created.
Use the Import Tables command on the Model menu to add tables from a SQL database to the project.
Important You cannot access the underlying database structure of an OLAP cube in an English Query model unless you are a member of the OLAP Administrators group and the Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0 or Windows® 2000 user group on the server with the Analysis Services database for which you are building the model. You must have OLAP Administrator permissions to load the tables underlying the cubes using Decision Support Objects (DSO).
