OLE DB testing components are provided to help you develop OLE DB consumers and providers. These components are not redistributable and must be used solely for developing OLE DB consumers and providers.
The Microsoft® Local Test Manager (LTM) is an easy-to-use tool that provides a single point of control for automated testing of OLE DB providers. It accompanies the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) SDK and includes an online help file. LTM can now be used with Microsoft Visual Studio®, Microsoft Visual Basic®, and Microsoft Visual J++® development environments.
Conformance testing strategies and details are discussed in the MDAC SDK topic "Conformance Testing in OLE DB."
The QuikTest Test Module now has its own topic in this section of the MDAC SDK.
Rowset Viewer is offered as a sample for experimentation and as a tool for immediate use. For more information about the sample, see "Rowset Viewer Sample." To run the tool, click Start, point to Programs, point to Platform SDK, point to Data Access, and click RowsetViewer, or run RowsetViewer.exe from Windows Explorer. For more information about its features, see "Rowset Viewer Menus and Toolbar" in the OLE DB Samples section.
