OLEDBSimpleProvider::getRowCount

Returns the number of rows in the data set. For an asynchronous provider, returns the current number of rows in the data set.

HRESULT getRowCount (
   LONG        *pcRows);

Parameters

pcRows: [out]
A pointer to the number of rows returned by the pcRow argument. The number does not include the row header information. For asynchronous operations unable to determine a row count (using OLEDBSimpleProvider::getEstimatedRows), a negative value may indicate that the operation is complete, which can cause unexpected results.
