What's New in ODBC

The ODBC documentation released with Microsoft® Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.6 contains no new enhancements.

Microsoft ODBC Desktop Database Drivers

The Desktop Database Drivers for ODBC, commonly known as the Jet Driver, has been removed from the MDAC Redist. The Jet Database Engine is not included in the MDAC configuration. However, for the 2.6 release, documentation for the Desktop Database Drivers is available in the SDK under ODBC Drivers.
