How to shut off automatic startup of SQL Server (Enterprise Manager)

To shut off automatic startup of SQL Server

1. Right-click a server, and then click Properties.
   
   
2. Click the General tab.
   
   
3. Under Autostart policies when the operating system starts, clear the Autostart SQL Server check box.
